If I wasn’t as convinced of it before, I am now.
This past Sunday, my God-daughter and I were in church and dang near her entire time was spent on my iPad drawing. And now just scribbling, she figured out how to change the paper styles in Tactilis, how to zoom in and out on Adobe Ideas (uses the whole hand, its cute), and added a nice film of sticky apples (her snack) to my iPad’s screen.
Think about it. For her, the iPad is an Etch-A-Sketch. What she will do with tech is way beyond anything that I can image right now. That said, my job is to help her not just use the new tech, but understand the implications of it. That part is where we all have roles for ensuring something better than what we have in our hands/pockets right now.
I forgot that I wrote this one here yesterday; ended up posting similar over at Palm Addict (http://palmaddict.typepad.com/palmaddicts/2011/04/my-god-daughters-use-of-mobile.html) – really will be interesting to see where she goes from here.
